Ingrid Bjørnaali (b. 1991) is a multidisciplinary artist from Norway, based in Oslo. In her artistic practice, she records specific biotopes in various states of their ongoing world-building processes. Bjørnaali is interested in various processes of learning from- and interpreting our surrounding nature and co-existing species in intimate close-up readings through e.g. photogrammetry that relates to satellite mapping and mediation of anthropocentric spaces and monuments. Her works explore the omnipresence of the digital in our experience of the world as well as the inability of technology to adequately articulate matter’s complexity. She obtained an MFA in 2021 from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, with parts of the studies spent in Helsinki at the Taideyliopiston Kuvataideakatemia’s “Time and Space Arts”. Recent exhibitions include Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM Tallinn), Project 88 (Mumbai), Crawford Art Gallery (Cork, Irland), Fabbrica Del Vapore (Milano), Kunstsilo and Tromsø Kunstforening.

Ingrid Bjørnaali (f. 1991) er en multidisiplinær kunstner basert i Oslo, som jobber opptaksbasert i form av video, fotogrammetri og lyd, samt med skulptur og tekst. Gjennom verktøy som fotogrammetri som ofte er brukt i kartlegging, arkivering og digitalisering av antroposentriske steder og monumenter, bruker Bjørnaali programvarene til å undersøke spesifikke biotoper i intime nærlesninger. Arbeidene hennes utforsker menneskets sameksistens med andre arter og det allestedsnærværende digitale i vår opplevelse av verden, såvel som teknologiens utilstrekkelighet når det gjelder å forstå fysisk og levende materie. Bjørnaali har en MFA fra Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo og “Time and Space Arts” ved Taideyliopiston Kuvataideakatemia i Helsinki. Hun har nylig stilt ut ved bla.
